Ynysybwl - Game On! Active School Holidays 2025

We’re thrilled to bring back our exciting multi-sport sessions for children during the school holidays! Organized by , in collaboration with The Coalfields Regeneration Trust Wales and Ynysybwl & Coed-y-Cwm Community Council, these sessions are designed to keep kids active, engaged, and having fun.

Who can join?
Children aged 5 to 11.

When and where?

  • Easter Holidays (Skateboard Special):
  • Date: Wednesday, 16th April
  • Time: 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
  • Location: Tennis Courts 'Rec'
  • Summer Holidays:
  • Dates: Every Wednesday from 23rd July to 20th August 2025 (5 weeks)
  • Time: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
  • Location: Butcher's Pool

What’s on offer?
Children can enjoy a wide range of sports and games, including:

  • Football
  • Dodgeball
  • Rounders
  • Handball
  • Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Water Polo
  • And much more!

Thanks to the generous support of 
Co-Op Ynysybwl and YRP 'Taste Station', free snacks will be available for all participants.

Important details:

  • Registration: You only need to register once for all holiday dates. Please use our online registration system to book your spot.
  • Safety: All coaches and volunteers are DBS checked.
  • Postponements: In case of bad weather, any session changes will be announced on  @CRTWales Facebook page by 9:30 AM on the day.

🎨 Get Creative for "The Hut"! 🎨 We’re opening our brand-new site, “The Hut” , in Ynysybwl this May, and we need YOUR help to make it special! We’re launching a Logo Design Competition to find the perfect logo and phrase to represent this exciting new space. Whether you’re a design whiz or just love to doodle, we want to see your ideas! Here’s what’s up for grabs: Your design could become the official logo for “The Hut”! You’ll get a sneak peek of the site before anyone else. Plus, you’ll have the honor of cutting the ribbon at the grand opening! 🎉 📝 How to enter: Create a logo and come up with a catchy phrase. Send your entry to larissa@yrp.wales. Let’s make “The Hut” a place we can all be proud of. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

What we have on this week Tuesday Tiddlywinks Ynysybwl is pre school age and it is located at Zion Chapel - 107 Robert St, a guardian must be present with the child. Craft Club is for any age but we ask that children under the age of 10 have an adult present, most of the kids that come are from the age of 5 to 10. This activity happens at our office - 20 Windsor Pl. Wednesday Trainplay is for any age and a guardian's presence must be present for children under the age of 10. Drinks and snacks are provided. This activity happens at Zion Chapel - 107 Robert St. Thursday Youth Club is for children between the ages of 10 and 18, most of the kids that come now are between the ages of 10 and 15. The club is based in our office - 20 Windsor Place. Friday Mucky Pups is for parents with children pre school age. We meet in our office - 20 Windsor Place, and then we head out for a nice walk. We come back when the time seems right to grab a hot tea or coffee at our office.
