This seven-year (2017- 2024) project focuses on five key areas identified by the community that include: Butchers Paddling Pool; Visitor Centre in the forestry; Community Hub; Improved paths and trails in the surrounding areas; small community projects. This project is overseen by Vision steering group that is made up of community representatives and has been a catalyst for bringing in further funding.

The craft enterprise grouphave achieved remarkable things so early on into their enterprise. Competing in the Money for Life Challenge 2018 they came second in Wales at an awards ceremony held in the Senedd, which earned them an invite to attend the national awards held in BAFTA London. A city not one of the young people had been able to visit prior to this event. During the awards this group stole the show for they’re craftsmanship and variety of products on display, earning plaudits from senior officials from UK Youth and Lloyds Banking Group.
The young people that lead the bicycle maintenance UPCYCLE have undergone professional training with Cycle Training Wales. They have been putting these new skills into practice and have seen this enterprise keenly supported and used by the community. This enterprise is aimed to grow over the next few months with the offer of regular bicycle repairs workshops, school bike health check sessions and mini mechanics training delivery.
